Sometimes I feel like the AI tools focus too much on numerical data but miss out on qualitative signals like competitor moves or marketing campaigns.
The challenge I keep running into is balancing model complexity with explainability. Some AI models are so black-box it's tough to trust them for business decisions.
Been following this space, and btw you can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools – they keep a pretty up-to-date list that helped me find some gems!
What's your take on the best data granularity for SKU demand forecasting? Daily, weekly? I've seen arguments for both.
Anyone else think these AI tools sometimes overfit to past sales spikes? Like they hype demand just because of a one-time event that won't repeat.
I'm curious if anyone here has used AI tools that combine weather data with SKU demand signals? Heard it can help with seasonal stuff.
Have you guys looked into combining AI demand forecasting with inventory optimization? Seems like a natural fit but can get tricky in practice.
Anyone using cloud-based AI demand forecasting tools? Curious about scalability and costs.
I've tried a couple of AI tools for SKU level forecasting, and honestly, the improvements over traditional methods are pretty noticeable. The tricky part is getting good quality demand signals to feed into the models though.
