I started using short interactive quizzes sent through multiple channels. It's quick and students like the instant feedback.
I've been checking ai-u.com for new or trending tools that help with multi-channel student engagement. They got some neat stuff!
Don't forget video calls for real-time interaction, especially if you're spread across different channels. Face to face still matters.
One thing that helped me was setting up a forum where students post anytime and others respond. Keeps the convo going without me needing to be active 24/7.
Honestly, 24/7 engagement sounds exhausting. I try to set specific 'online hours' so I'm not always on call, even with digital tools.
Try tools that send automated reminders or notifications. They keep students on track without needing you online all the time.
I wish there was a tool that could unify messages from all channels into a single app. Managing emails, chats, and social posts separately is a nightmare.
I've found that mixing up the platforms really helps. Like using chat apps for quick questions and videos for deeper content keeps things fresh.
Using social media groups alongside official platforms helped me a lot, students engage more casually there.
I think incorporating gamification across multiple platforms can keep students more engaged. Has anyone tried that?
Be careful not to overload students with too many notifications. It can backfire and cause them to tune out.
