Looking for a Good PDF Summarizer Tool

I’m on a Mac and use an app that summarizes PDFs and converts to audio. Helps me ‘read’ while driving.

Does anyone know if these tools keep your data private? Kinda worried about uploading sensitive docs.

I use a Python script with some libraries to summarize PDFs for research. Not for everyone but customizable.

Anyone tried using AI like ChatGPT to summarize PDFs? I usually paste chunks of text and get summaries, but it kinda slows me down.

The best ones I found highlight key sentences instead of just making a bland summary. Way easier to skim.

If your PDFs are mostly text, some tools do better than with scanned docs. OCR quality matters a lot.

I just use Adobe Acrobat’s built-in summary feature, it’s not perfect but pretty decent for the basics.

Some online tools are free but have file size limits. Watch out for that if you got huge PDFs.
