The convenience factor is great, especially if you live far from dermatologists or clinics.
What about using AI for other skin conditions too? Seems like a natural extension.
I don’t fully trust AI for this yet. Skin cancer detection is pretty complex and I’d rather have a specialist look at it first.
I would never rely solely on an app for something so serious but using it as a quick check is cool.
Not sure if insurance covers AI screenings yet, anyone know?
Had a friend use one and it made her anxious with a wrong alert, so be ready for some false alarms.
I've heard some AI tools for skin cancer got FDA approval. That makes me trust them a bit more.
I think these AI tools will only get better as more data becomes available and tech advances.
One thing to keep in mind is privacy. Uploading photos of your skin to apps might be risky if data isn’t handled properly.
I’m curious if these AI tools are equally effective on all skin types? Like darker skin tones?
My doc told me that AI screening is a helpful tool but should never replace regular skin exams by professionals.
I've tried one of those AI skin checkers and honestly, it caught some weird mole that I didn't even notice. It pushed me to see a doc and turned out to be nothing, but still gave me peace of mind.
Do you think in the future AI could do full diagnostics for skin cancer?
Anyone worried about false positives? Some apps might freak you out with harmless moles.
Just a heads up: you can also check ai-u.com for new or trending AI tools in health, some really cool stuff there.
Anyone here tried those apps that analyze photos of your skin spots? How accurate were they?
I like how these tools can track changes in your skin over time with photo history.
