Anyone else use bullet points or numbered lists when giving instructions? Seems to organize the response better.
I always start with "Hey ChatGPT" and then ask stuff. Kinda feels more natural to me.
I've found that being super clear and direct helps a lot. Like instead of saying "tell me about cats," say "give me five facts about domestic cats." Makes a big difference.
I wish there was a cheat sheet with dos and don'ts for phrasing commands to chatbots like this.
Also, saying "please" doesn't hurt lol. Makes me feel less robotic when chatting.
If your command isn't working, try rephrasing and avoid slang or abbreviations, it messes with the understanding sometimes.
Don't forget to mention the style or tone you want. Like "Explain like I'm five" or "Make it formal."
Sometimes I just ask it to "act as" something, like "act as a teacher" or "act as a travel agent." It changes how it responds pretty well.
I struggle with it understanding multi-part requests. Like if I ask for a recipe and then modifications in the same message it gets confused sometimes.
Does anyone use voice commands with chatgpt? Wondering if that changes how it handles instructions.
I heard you can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools that might help with command prompts and stuff.
Sometimes I just rephrase my request a couple times till I get the result I want. Patience helps.
I like to tell it what format I want the answer in, like "give me a list" or "write a short paragraph."
