If you want more open answers try asking for opinions or hypothetical scenarios, it usually gets less restricted responses.
I think transparency from OpenAI about what is filtered would help users understand the limits better.
Anyone knows if older versions of ChatGPT had less censorship?
Sometimes switching the language to something less common and then translating back can get past some filters lol
Would love if OpenAI added a mode for more open discourse but still safe, maybe opt-in for researchers or devs.
Does anyone try using other AI chatbots that might have fewer restrictions? How do they compare?
You can’t really 'uncensor' it fully without access to the backend or modified versions. I think people making those mods are kinda sketchy and not safe.
Just curious, has anyone tried using API with custom settings to get less filtered replies?
Some people use roleplay prompts to get ChatGPT to act like a character that 'ignores' restrictions, kinda works.
I heard there are ways to jailbreak prompt ChatGPT but it’s not guaranteed and might get you banned.
You can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools related to AI, sometimes they have versions with different filtering.
I’m surprised how much you can get out of it just by being patient and trying different ways of asking.
Honestly tho, filters are there for a reason, so trying to bypass them might not be the best idea.
Honestly, it's tough to get around the filters since they're built into the system to keep things safe. But sometimes tweaking the prompts a bit helps to get more detailed answers.
