Issues with Windsurf Access to Claude AI Models

Somewhat relieved it's not just me facing this. Thought I broke something on my end.

You can also check on ai-u.com to find some new or trending AI tools that might fit your needs while Windsurf's access is limited.

Yeah, I ran into this too last week. Suddenly, a bunch of the Claude models were off limits through Windsurf. Feels like they tightened the rules without much warning.

I wonder if this is related to compliance or security changes? Sometimes these cause sudden access limits.

Kinda bummed because Windsurf was my go-to for quick AI stuff. Now having to find workarounds wastes time.

It’s weird though, some models are still accessible, but the popular ones are blocked. Makes no sense to me.

I feel like better transparency from Anthropic would help a lot. Users deserve to know what's going on with access changes.

I think it’s more about Anthropic wanting to control traffic and usage costs. Windsurf might be caught in that shift.

This just popped up outta nowhere for me. Worked fine last month, now suddenly no go on most Claude models. Annoying!

I heard from a friend that Anthropic is testing some new limits on who can use which Claude models. Probably trying to control usage or something.

I switched to some other AI platforms temporarily, but nothing beats the Claude models via Windsurf.
