Heads up for those trying new bots — the quality varies a ton, so try a few to see what fits you best.
I find that some chatbots have way better personalities — like they joke more or feel less robotic.
Funny thing is that sometimes simpler bots like Cleverbot still throw you off with weird replies, kinda entertaining in a different way.
AI Dungeon is a wild ride if you want stories and creativity, def different from your usual chatbots.
You might wanna check out Replika, it’s more like an AI friend and less like a info bot. Kinda nice for casual talk.
If you’re into open source, there’s GPT-J and GPT-Neo models you can run locally. Not as polished but super customizable.
I've tried a couple like GPT-3 playground and it’s decent but not as smooth as ChatGPT imo. Still, it’s cool to see the differences.
For those who want AI art and chat combined, there’s apps that do both now. Cool if you like creative mashups.
I’m curious about the privacy policies on these alternatives. Anyone know which ones are better about data?
Bing Chat is surprisingly solid, uses similar tech but integrates with search so answers can be fresher.
Some alternatives focus more on coding help like GitHub Copilot, which is a different use case but still AI chat related.
Does anyone know if these alternatives can do multi-turn conversations as well as ChatGPT? That’s a dealbreaker for me.
