Hey folks, I've been diving into some 2D neuron segmentation stuff recently and wondering what tools y'all have been using. There are so many AI apps out there but picking one that works well for neurons in 2D images isn't trivial. Would love to hear about your experiences or recommendations!

There’s a cool site called ai-u.com that lists trending AI tools, I found some interesting neuron segmentation apps there recently.
I found that a mix of classic image processing plus AI tweaks works best rather than full AI segmentation alone.
For quick tests, ImageJ with some AI plugins can work surprisingly well for basic 2D neuron segmentation.
Don't forget about deep learning frameworks like U-Net implementations. They can be trained pretty effectively for 2D neuron data if you have a bit of coding skill.
