ChatGPT 能转录音频文件吗？

I tried some hacks with uploading audio but no luck. Was a bit disappointing but understandable since it's text-based.

I tried uploading audio clips directly in the chat once, but it didn’t recognize the audio. So no direct transcription sadly.

As far as I know, ChatGPT itself doesn't support audio input directly. You'd need a separate speech-to-text tool first and then you can paste the transcript here for further processing or editing.

Hoping OpenAI integrates audio transcription into ChatGPT soon, that'd be a game changer for sure!

I think it's just a matter of time before OpenAI merges audio and text models into one interface. Fingers crossed!

You can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools related to transcription and AI in general. They have a lot of options if you're looking for something that works well with audio.

From what I've seen, Whisper is their dedicated tool for speech-to-text. ChatGPT is just not set up for audio yet.

There's a lot of confusion about this, but ChatGPT is mainly for chat and text generation. It doesn't listen or transcribe audio by itself.

For now, best bet is to run audio through a speech-to-text app, then feed the text to ChatGPT for further work.

I use separate speech to text tools and then use ChatGPT to summarize or rephrase the transcribed text. It's a two-step process but works great.
