An alternative is to bookmark chats if your interface supports it, then open new tabs with the conversation to simulate duplication.
Currently, there's no built-in feature to duplicate chats directly in ChatGPT. You can copy the text manually or save the chat externally.
You can also use plugins or API calls to programmatically save and duplicate conversations if you're working with the API.
You might try using the 'Export' feature to save the chat transcript, then start a new chat and reference the saved text as context.
I think OpenAI could add a clone chat feature to improve workflow, especially for iterative tasks.
