I tried using ChatGPT to paraphrase some essays and it helped me avoid copying exact words, but still gotta be cautious with sentence flow.
It depends on how you prompt it. If you ask for a summary or to explain in own words, it usually avoids copying. But direct paraphrasing can sometimes be too close.
I think the key is not to rely fully on any tool, AI or not. Use it as a starting point then tweak and add your own voice.
You can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools that help with paraphrasing and plagiarism detection, really useful!
Does anyone know if using AI paraphrasing counts as plagiarism in any schools? Would love to hear experiences.
Sometimes the AI mixes up facts too, so double checking content is important beyond just plagiarism concerns.
In my experience, just throwing paragraphs in sometimes makes it sound weird. Better to break it down and ask ChatGPT to rephrase smaller chunks.
I've noticed that ChatGPT generates new sentence structures mostly, so plagiarism risk is low. But still, for academic work, I'd be careful and cite sources anyway.
I've used ChatGPT a bunch for paraphrasing and honestly it usually does a good job making the text sound fresh. Still, I always double-check cause sometimes it keeps too close to the original.
