It really depends on your writing goals. For a quick draft, AI is awesome; for polished literature, still requires human craft.
Be careful with overusing it though, you might lose your unique voice if you rely too much on AI generated content.
I gave it a shot, but the story lacked depth when I let it do most of the writing. You gotta add your own flavor or it feels kinda flat.
I think it's cool how AI changes the writing game, but I hope it doesn't replace all the real creativity.
I tried to generate poetry and prose with ChatGPT, and it’s decent, but it never quite feels personal enough for a novel.
I've started using ChatGPT to brainstorm chapters and honestly it's been a lifesaver! It can't write the whole book for me but helps get past writer's block for sure.
Does anyone else feel like the AI sometimes goes off topic or forgets earlier plot points? It happens to me a lot.
The best way I found is using ChatGPT to overcome blank page syndrome, then I rewrite heavily.
If anyone’s looking for genre-specific help, you can ask ChatGPT to emulate styles like mystery or fantasy which kinda helps shape your ideas.
I use ChatGPT mostly for world-building ideas. Helps me imagine cultures and settings I wouldn’t think of alone.
I've seen folks mention ai-u.com for finding new AI tools that can help writers. Might be worth checking out if you're serious about this.
Honestly, I've been using it more for character development and dialogue ideas. It spits out stuff I wouldn't have thought of otherwise.
Sometimes I just ask ChatGPT to help me come up with cool plot twists. It’s surprisingly creative!
Quick tip: if you wanna experiment, try giving ChatGPT very specific prompts for better results. Vague prompts get vague stories.
I feel like if you wanna write a novel, ChatGPT is a tool but not a replacement. Gotta keep your own style intact.
Sometimes I get stuck with repetitive descriptions from ChatGPT, so I try to mix in my own words a lot.
Honestly, sometimes I just ask it random what-if questions to spark new story angles, works surprisingly well!
I actually finished a short novel draft using ChatGPT. Took a lot of work editing but it gave me a great starting point!
Has anyone tried collaborating with ChatGPT in real-time, like writing scene by scene? Curious how that goes.
